1. Enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB)




Based on the existing mobile broadband service scenarios, eMBB optimizes the communication experience between people by providing access with higher experience rate and larger bandwidth. In this scenario, the user experience rate can reach 100Mbps to 1Gbps (the maximum experience rate of 4G is 10Mbps), and the peak speed can reach 10 to 20Gbps. eMBB scenarios are mainly oriented to high-traffic mobile broadband services, such as 3D/4K/8K ultra-high-definition video, AR/VR, cloud work/entertainment, and 5G mobile terminals.


2. Ultra-high reliable low-latency communication (uRLLC)




The uRLLC application scenario provides low-latency and high-reliability information interaction capability, supporting highly real-time, precise and secure business collaboration among interconnected objects. In this scenario, the end-to-end latency is at the level of ms (e.g., the latency of industrial automation control is about 10 ms; the latency of unmanned driver transmission is as low as 1 ms), and the reliability is close to 100%. uRLLC scenarios are mainly oriented to the business of industrial automation, Telematics, unmanned driver, remote manufacturing, and telemedicine.




3. Massive Machine Class Communication (mMTC)




The mMTC application scenario is mainly the information exchange between people and things, which supports the efficient access and management of large-scale, low-cost and low-consumption IoT devices by providing optimized signaling control capability at high connection density. In this scenario, the density of connected devices is 1 million devices connected per square kilometer, and the service life of mid-range batteries reaches 15 years. mMTC scenarios are mainly oriented to smart cities, smart homes, and smart manufacturing.
